Philosophy
There was a time when beauty was considered part of something's purpose. Gates, Doors and shutters were given proportion, depth and ornament - not simply to function, but because they were worth making beautiful.
Drawing from the architecture of classical Europe and early America, Artisan Cedar Co. creates new work through the same language of proportion, craftsmanship and permanence.
The Work
Each piece is individually designed and built by hand in a small West Texas atelier. Western Red Cedar, traditional joinery, architectural detailing and hand carving come together to create work with character that cannot be mass produced.
The aim is simple: to make a small number of extraordinary things worth remembering.
